My contributions to The Groups Project here at deviantART have been substantially inspired by my desire to rebuild The Netherworld BBS. But I didn't just want to rebuild The Netherworld, I wanted to allow anyone to build a Netherworld of their own.

So Dark Shadow, and Jyger, Silicon Soldier, Pitfall, Billy, Strider, VeXuS, and HaVoc... Tyranork.... and a long list of friends; I'm going to make it a side mission to get us all on here so we can hang out and catch up. And that's really the singular point of this Group... for now.

Now there's a secret here. Fact is, the account "netherworld" was taken in 2003 by a deviant who has since disappeared. Email address defunct. Totally dead account with no activity. With one exception; a deviation.. a poem.

I will leave you with this poem, copied and pasted and credited to an unknown author. But it follows, and to me it was eerie. Like a gift left by a stranger to be found by another stranger communicating through time and space. Whoever you are, the Netherworld means something similar to you as it did to me.

A memory...
This place I visit when life closes in
When enveloped in darkness, that's where I begin
It's all in the past...
But it just seems to last...
Eating away at my mind through the din.
